Will There Be A Season 2 Of The Witcher: Blood Origin? After what happened in the first season, it’s hard to say if there will be a second season of The Witcher: Blood Origin. Since the flagship show, The Witcher was about Geralt and Ciri’s adventures in the fantasy world of The Continent; it could only answer a few questions.
People had a lot of questions about things like what happened at the Conjunction of the Spheres, where the Witchers came from, and how the world of The Witcher got to be the way it is in the main series, which may have led to the making of the Witcher: Blood Origin prequel show.
The first season of Witcher: Blood Origin is mostly about answering these questions and giving more details about the complicated history of the universe. Since The Witcher’s world has such a complex and unique history, there would be plenty of room for a second season of Witcher: Blood Origin. Whether or not one will likely be made is a different story.
Will There Be A Season 2 Of The Witcher: Blood Origin?
Even though a second season of The Witcher: Blood Origin is possible in theory, it is likely to fail because each episode of the limited series tells its own story.
The story of the seven warriors who work together to defeat evil and make the first Witcher is told in the four episodes of the first season, so there is little need for a second season. Making the second season of Witcher: Blood Origin could only confuse people about the story’s point if it finds a natural way to continue both the Witcher prequel story and the story of Jaskier hearing about their adventures.
Even less likely is that this will happen because of how the show has been received. There have been complaints about the pace of The Witcher: Blood Origin, which has only four episodes instead of the planned six. The fact that Henry Cavill will no longer play Geralt does not help the series, either.
Now, it looks like Netflix would be better off focusing on other spinoffs of The Witcher than making a second season of Witcher: Blood Origin.
If the second season of Witcher: Blood Origin was supposed to pick up right where the first one left off, it’s unlikely there would be a second season. However, one reason it could still happen: is to show more lore.
Blood Origin could be the name of a show that gives different looks into different parts of the franchise’s history and world. This would make it easier for viewers to find everything they need in one place. This is especially true if the Netflix franchise keeps changing the story of the books because the spinoff would explain how these changes fit together.
Since the show doesn’t explain how modern Witchers came to be, it would make sense to have a second season of Witcher: Blood Origin about this or other parts of the lore that couldn’t be explained in The Witcher show without taking away from the main storylines.
Blood Origin’s season 1 finale has made it harder to understand how Witchers became a faction since the first Witcher transformation showed how dangerous those who went through the Trial of the Grasses could be to the people they were supposed to help. So, a second season that reveals more about this later could be a good idea.
