He was a law professor at Chapman University and respected by colleagues and students, but a few hours of obfuscation and public criticism led him to be one of the most hated men on social networks, while for others, he is a symbol of courage for speaking up.
What Did He Do?
American attorney John Charles Eastman is the founding executive director of the Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, a public interest law practice linked with the conservative think tank Claremont Institute.
A former professor and dean of the law school at Chapman University. In 1990, he ran unsuccessfully as a Republican for California’s 34th congressional district; in 2010, he ran unsuccessfully for California Attorney General.
He previously served as Clarence Thomas’s law clerk.
