What Was The First Cold Breakfast Cereal Invented In 1863 “Granula”
Granula the first cold breakfast cereal invented by James Caleb Jackson in 1863. As many did at the time, that sicknesses were based in the digestive system. At the health spa he ran in upstate New York, he began experimenting with cold cereal as a cure for illness. Cereal never became popular, due to the inconvenient necessity of tenderizing the heavy bran and graham nuggets by soaking them overnight.
