Who Killed Selena Quintanilla Perez And Why

On March 31, 1995, climbing star Selena Quintanilla Perez was killed by Yolanda Saldívar, the founder of her fan club. Selena was just 23.
Saldívar had been a former nurse who’d quit her job to found Selena’s fan club and afterward ran two of Selena’s stalls in Texas.
Today, Saldívar, 59, is currently serving a life sentence in prison and has been only briefly depicted in Netflix’s Selena: The Series.

Selena Quintanilla-Pérez has been an American singer who achieved international fame as a member of Selena y Los Dinos and because of her next solo career in English and Spanish. Back in January 1994, Saldívar has been promoted to manager of this singer’s stalls. Selena’s workers, fashion designer, along with also cousin started whining about Saldívar’s management fashion. Back in January 1995, Quintanilla Jr. started receiving phone calls and letters from angry supporters who’d shipped subscription payments and had received nothing in exchange. He started exploring their complaints and discovered evidence that Saldívar’d embezzled $60,000 in your fan club along with the stalls utilizing forged checks. Following the Quintanilla family faced daily, Saldívar purchased a gun and fatally shot Selena about the morning of March 31, 1995. Although physicians tried to renew Selena, she had been pronounced dead from lack of blood and cardiac arrest.
