Unforgotten Season 5 Episode 1: ITV1 has announced that the fifth season of Unforgotten will come out on February 27 at 9 p.m.
The new case starts after the shocking end of the fourth season of Unforgotten, when Nicola Walker’s character, DCI Cassie Stuart, died in a terrible car accident. Cassie’s sudden death has hurt not only her family but also her police colleagues, especially her detective partner DI Sunny Khan (Sanjeev Bhaskar), who had worked with her on a number of strange cold cases.
In the new six-part season 5, DCI has replaced Cassie as Sunny’s partner in solving crimes. Sinéad Keenan, who is known for her roles in Little Boy Blue and Being Human, played Jessica James.
Unforgotten Season 5 Episode 1 Release Date
The fifth season of Unforgotten will air on ITV1 on February 27 at 9 p.m. It will also be shown on ITVX, which is a streaming service.
A date for its release in the US has not yet been set.
The fifth season of Unforgotten is shot in London, Tilbury, Bath, and Paris. As with the first 24 episodes of Unforgotten, which came out in 2015, Andy Wilson is again in charge of this fifth season.
Unforgotten is made by Guy de Glanville, who also made Unforgotten, Gold Digger, and Age Before Beauty. Sally Haynes, Chris Lang, and Laura Mackie are the executive producers for Mainstreet Pictures. Andy Wilson and Guy de Glanville also oversee the show.
Unforgotten Season 5 Episode 1 Preview
Series 5 of “Unforgotten” starts just before DCI Jessica James’s first day at her new job, when something terrible happens to her family that she didn’t see coming. Even so, Jessica is determined to make a good first impression on her new coworkers. Will Jess be in the right mood to fit in with and inspire the team?
Cassie Stuart was a much-loved former teammate whose ghost looms large over the group. Jess knows she has big shoes to fill. If she wants to live up to her much-loved and respected predecessor, she will need to be determined, professional, and have a lot of spirit.
The first case for Jess and her team is when human remains are found in an old house in Hammersmith, West London, that has just been renovated. But it looks like the body has been there for a long time.
This looks like a murder from the 1930s, but the body could have been thrown away more recently. There are strange questions that need to be answered, and Jess will have to be at her best. Can she figure out what’s going on with the help of DS Sunny Khan?
