Who is Allowed to Use a T3 Lane Without Restriction?
Cars in the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) or Carpool lanes
Carpools and High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes are helpful because they let more than one person ride in the same car. Those in carpools or HOV lanes can use a T3 Lane without any restrictions.
Some electric vehicles
Some electric vehicles, like cars and motorcycles, may be able to get something called a “white sticker” that lets them use the T3 lanes without having to wait in line.
Certain Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFVs)
Depending on the car’s fuel type, some Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFVs) may be eligible for a special HOV lane exemption called a “green sticker.” This sticker lets the car use the T3 Lanes without any restrictions.
Transportation for the public
Buses, shuttles, and other forms of public transportation can use T3 Lanes without any restrictions. This helps make the roads less crowded with cars.
