NCIS Season 20 Episode 03: As we get ready for tonight’s episode 3 of NCIS Season 20 on CBS, it’s becoming abundantly evident that this will be a genuinely excellent mystery.
Early information points to “Unearth” being a story involving historical relics and missing parts… another one in which the lives of at least two major players are threatened.

There is a lot of fascinating material to dissect in this case, so let’s jump right into the spoilers below.
At first, we visit a cemetery and witness a body that, for some reason, requires a team of three people to turn over.
But what really is the problem here? Stones, or at least very particular objects, have been found inside the body.
The question is why someone would choose to act in this way. They thought the body would be located, so we may assume the same for the belongings within.
Considering how few people would come into contact with the body, we believe that they wanted NCIS to find it.
Who then do you contact in such a crisis? The obvious choice is Ducky, and we’re thrilled to see David McCallum return in this episode as well!
Ducky can discuss some possible backstory elements in this sneak look, but there is also a brief segment in which Alden Parker discusses The Little Mermaid, a topic about which Ducky knows nothing. The situation is awkward but ultimately humorous.
Attack on Dr. Grace! Who would do such a thing? This is the main focus for the final sneak peek, as Torres locates her just before a potentially life-threatening confrontation with a mysterious figure in a mask.
