Mythic Quest Season 3 Episode 8 Recap

The latest disagreement between Ian and Poppy all begins with a single post-it note. This note features the term “Haptics” written in large, bold letters. This little square of paper drives Ian crazy, and he even labels it an eyesore. Dana thinks it’s Ian’s bright idea, but it turns out Poppy’s.

He discards the note and, naturally, the two-on-two brawl. The subject of air conditioning is then considered a point of contention. While Ian finds the temperature to be ideal, Poppy finds it to be bone-chilling. A temperature adjustment is made by Poppy. These seemingly little outbursts are the precursors to something far more significant and nastier.

Jo and Brad moan to each other while they argue. Having been demoted as Rachel’s assistant, Brad now feels devalued. Jo is just as insulted as David is when he asks her to get rid of a rat he found in his workplace.

These intelligent people have been delegated to do their master’s dirty work, yet they have banded together to complete the task. Rat jokes provide a terrific opportunity for Brad and Jo to shine as a comedic duo in their prison setting.

The creators are back at GrimPop, and they’re still arguing. Poppy retaliates when Ian cranks up the air conditioning. Ian counters that it’s just a light breeze, which he sees as a reasonable middle ground. Poppy redirects the discussion to Ian’s procrastinatory behaviour in the metaverse.

As the fighting worsens, they call Dana to restore some peace. Dana walks out of the studio as Ian and Poppy get into a physical altercation about the lighting. Dana doesn’t want to take a stand, so she won’t.

After a long, hot day, Dana discovers David hard at work outside. She makes a remark about how drenched he looks. Their mutual griping about Ian and Poppy’s fighting is a unifying factor. The rest of David’s crew eventually follows suit. Jo has given everyone an egress mandate. Therefore they must all now vacate the premises.

David and Dana enter the building and find an empty office waiting for them. They run into Brad and Jo, who make their rat search too complicated. Brad has set up a sophisticated trap for the rodent, but their attention is diverted when David and Dana show up there.

Ian proposes a compromise to Poppy. A stealthy office he calls an “efficiency pod” for Poppy to get work done in. Poppy makes light of Ian’s innovation of a private workstation by calling it what it is: a cubicle.

Ian is disappointed to learn he has come up with nothing novel and instead has created a “poor” idea. Ian becomes defensive, claiming that the workplace atmosphere is unfriendly, and then abruptly leaves.

The end of the rat saga has finally arrived. David is shown the rat by Brad and Jo, who have captured it and placed it in a box. The rat’s pregnancy was discovered, but it has since given birth. After all, David only wanted the rat killed in the first place.

The three disagree, and David tries to bring Dana in to mediate. Dana is again being asked to serve as a judge, but she has no intention of doing so.

Mythic Quest Season 3 Episode 8 Ending Explain

Poppy finally locates Ian on the rooftop just as the episode ends. This is where the debate takes an unexpectedly severe turn. Ian notes that while Poppy used to be the one to realize his vision, she is now attempting to do so for herself. Poppy retorts that Ian is seldom around, so she must take on all the responsibilities. She is devastated when Ian confirms what she already knows: that he has no interest in participating in her game or her idea.

Dana is reprimanded by Poppy for distracting her from work. Poppy is angry because he, as usual, has made empty promises. After a final tearful goodbye, she walks away, and an enraged Ian tosses a chair across the roof. When Dana returns to GrimPop, she discovers an icy chill that has nothing to do with the temperature inside. Iain has left.
