Lies of P Gets New Character Trailer and Release Info: Not much has been known about how to play or what the story is about in Lies of P. At IGN Fan Fest this past weekend, we finally found out that the game will come out this August. Today, we’re lucky enough to get a brand-new character trailer that tells us more about what to look forward to this Summer.

In the new trailer, a man named Simon is seen in the middle of a destroyed city. It looks like the person who made Pinocchio, but it could be a trick to make people think that. We see a huge amount of power being sucked into a machine, along with what looks like Pinocchio and a scary-looking machine.

As Pinocchio, we’ll have to look around this broken-down city for things we can use to make weapons. There will be a number of dialogue options that will change how we play. In particular, the more you lie, the more Pinocchio will act like a real boy. At first, we are a mix of a puppet and a robot, and we have to find Mr. Geppetto in the city.

Since this is a twist on the classic Disney story, we still don’t know much about it. Pinocchio always wanted to be a real boy, but people told him he shouldn’t lie. In Lies of P, however, becoming human seems to be a punishment for lying, which is the opposite effect. You can see what the developer means when he says the dialogue choices will be profound. If your character has to lie to non-player characters (NPCs) to become human, that is a moral dilemma.

Lies of P will be available on PC and the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in August. It will also be a Game Pass title on Xbox from the start. Do you like this new take on a classic Disney story? Tell us in the comments.
