Is There A Season 3 Of The Witcher? The Witcher is one of Netflix’s most successful series and fans were delighted with the second season, but they already want to see the third.
The fantasy of The Witcher will continue to transport us to dream worlds full of dangers in the future. The third season of the series has already started its creative process, although there is still a lot of work ahead. Henry Cavill, the star who plays Geralt of Rivia, is hopeful that next season will stay more true to the books.
After a year without hearing news about Geralt of Rivia, Netflix renewed The Witcher with eight new episodes. It was in December 2019 when the platform first launched this series starring Henry Cavill, but due to the pandemic and some setbacks such as the actor’s injury, the production schedules were completely affected. So much so that it was not until December 17 that the new chapters could be released.
Without a doubt, the second edition of The Witcher came out in style with much more fantasy, drama, and action. On this occasion, Geralt de Rivia not only demonstrates his unique warrior side but also reveals his paternal and tender side by protecting his Girl from Surprise at all costs. Also, this makes him put on the table his feelings which, as a worthy sorcerer, should not flourish or, at least, not be so evident.
On the other hand, the performance of Freya Allan, who plays Cirilla, is worthy of applause. The girl shows her more adult version, making it clear what her intentions are for this season. So much so that the new episodes of the series were very well received by all the fans who, in fact, are already waiting for the arrival of the third season to continue learning about the adventures of Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer.
Is There A Season 3 Of The Witcher?
You can go ruling out that the third season of ‘The Witcher’ arrives in 2022. To give you an idea, the extensive filming of the second season concluded at the beginning of April of this year and it was not released until the end of December. And the recordings always take many months, so at least it will take a little over a year -easy 13-14 months- from when the cameras are put into operation until the new episodes appear on Netflix.
Blood Origin, The Prequel To The Witcher
Fans of The Witcher have had a few days of continuous surprises. After the launch of the new season, Netflix announced that Blood Origin, the prequel to the main series, will debut on the platform throughout the year 2022. Although there is still only one premiere window, the miniseries have been shown in style in the first teaser trailer.
The Witcher: Blood Origin will be a millennium before Geralt of Rivia travels the world as one of the most powerful warlocks. An origin story that builds the world as it appears in the main product.
