Emilia Clarke Brain Surgery Photos: Having survived two brain aneurysms, Emilia Clarke has revealed how her life has changed.
As Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones, she has become a household name because of her interpretation of the character.
She’s now stated that she’s amazed at how well she can still speak directly.
A weak blood vessel in the brain that balloons and fills with blood, and can cause bleeding into the brain when it explodes, is a condition known as an aneurysm. Emilia has stated that she is one of the few who survived an aneurysm without complications.
After filming the first season of Game of Thrones in 2011, Emilia’s first aneurysm burst, resulting in a stroke.
After the second rupture in 2013, scans showed that the aneurysm had doubled in size, necessitating surgery.
Clarke had previously revealed in a personal post for The New Yorker that she had suffered a stroke in 2011:
Clarke has disclosed to the BBC that the events have caused her brain to be “missing” sections due to what she went through.

The actor went on to elaborate further on her situation.
Recent events saw Emilia make her debut on the stage of the West End in the role of Nina in The Seagull. She mentioned that despite the state of her health, she has been able to perform a play that lasts for two and a half hours every single night without flubbing a single line.
She also mentioned that she has stopped trying to figure out what is happening in her brain even though some of it is missing.
