RRR Gets High Praise From Director Of “Doctor Strange,” Who Calls The Film A “outrageous roller coaster”
The film’s director, who celebrated his birthday on July 16, said he thoroughly enjoyed the “roller coaster of a movie.”
The production company behind “RRR,” DVV Entertainment, quoted the director’s statement and thanked him for his kind words in a Twitter post.
Another Rajamouli film, “Baahubali: The Conclusion,” received great praise from Derrickson in 2017.
Since its digital premieres on ZEE5 (in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada) and Netflix (in Hindi) in May, “RRR,” which opened in theatres in March, has received critical acclaim from around the world.
In the past, Hollywood heavyweights like “Doctor Strange” author C Robert Cargill, “Dune” author Jon Spaihts, and “21 Jump Street” star Christopher Miller have all lauded the pan-Indian cinematic extravaganza.
“RRR,” tells the fictional story of two early twentieth-century Indian liberation fighters, Alluri Sitarama (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR). In addition to Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, the film has prominent characters.
Rajamouli’s third worldwide box office hit after “Baahubali: The Beginning” (2015) and “Baahubali: The Conclusion,” the film has made over Rs 1,000 crore.
