Who Plays Lyle the Crocodile? Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is a cute new musical comedy movie that just started streaming on Netflix. It is based on a popular children’s book by Bernard Waber. Since it first came out on Netflix, the movie has always been in the Top 10 list of the most popular movies on the service. It’s not surprising, since subscribers usually want to watch movies with their families.
The movie shows what happens when the Primm family moves to New York and finds a saltwater crocodile living in the bathroom of their new home. When they meet the cute lizard, they find out he can sing, and he quickly makes friends with Josh Primm.
Of course, Lyle isn’t like most crocodiles because he can sing. He likes caviar and taking baths, which made him an important part of the Primm family right away. But as you watch the movie, you might wonder who gives the character’s voice and how many of the actors also sing or play music for the movie’s soundtrack.
Who Plays Lyle the Crocodile?
Shawn Mendes voices the main character in the movie. Javier Bardem, Constance Wu, Winslow Fegley, Scoot McNairy, Brett Gelman, and Ego Nwodim also have roles in the movie.
The main character of the story is Lyle, the crocodile. You could even call him “the protagonist” because this story would not exist without him. Lyle is a saltwater crocodile, but there are other kinds, too. He lives in the house’s attic, where the Primm family just moved in. But he’s not like most reptiles. He sings in the shower and outside, takes long, luxurious baths, and loves caviar. In other words, it seems like Lyle is a real performer. They become fast friends when Josh, the family’s child, meets Lyle. As you might expect, he can’t talk, so he talks to people by singing. But Lyle might not stay long in that house unless Josh does something about it.
Shawn Mendes, a famous singer, voices Lyle’s main character. The Canadian singer-songwriter and pop star who has won many awards released his first studio album, Handwritten, in 2015, and it went straight to the top of the US Billboard 200. He is best known for songs like “Treat You Better,” “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back,” and “Seorita.” Mendes has also been on TV shows like The Voice and Saturday Night Live, as well as in the documentary film Shawn Mendes: In Wonder. This is his first role in a full-length movie.
