Who Is Nikki Haley Married To?
William Michael Haley is the man she is married to. He has a rank in the South Carolina Army and is an officer. Security Cooperation is Mr. Haley’s area of expertise.
As captain of the South Carolina Army National Guard, he spent a year in Afghanistan in 2012. He and his unit were sent to Helmand Province, where they helped farmers learn better ways to farm.
He also made sure that cash crops were grown to replace the opium poppies that had been grown in the area before.
Mr. Haley is the first spouse of a governor to serve on active duty in a war zone. The marines who served with him gave him the nickname “FGOSC,” which stands for “First Gentleman of South Carolina.”
He is the leader of the group Stand for America. His wife, Nikki Haley, started this policy and news group.
Mr. Haley is from the state of Ohio. He was given up for adoption. Bill and Carole Haley took him in when he was three years old and raised him until he was four.
He met Nikki when they were both students at Clemson University. Mr. Haley got a degree in business administration from that school.
He worked at the clothing store owned by his wife’s mother for a while, and then he worked for the South Carolina Army National Guard for eight years as a technician in human resources.
He got married to Nikki in 1996, and they now have two kids: Rena Haley, who is 25, and Nalin Haley, who is 21.
