Where Was Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022 Filmed? In August 2020 film took place in Bulgari, in this evident lack of ideas, a new sequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is born, titled the same as Tobe Hooper’s work in 1974, and which serves as a continuation of that one with a new cast of protagonists who will fall into the clutches of the dangerous Leatherface. There are already nine feature films that make up the various timelines of the macabre story inspired by the maniac Ed Gein, who was the figure that gave rise to the creation of the famous Leather Face, armed with his chainsaw. In the 2022 sequel, this time at the hands of Netflix with David Blue Garcia ( Tejano) in the direction a new effort is made to resurrect the serial killer so that he can articulate a new series of upcoming films to continue exploiting this legend of terror.
The Awakening Of The Beast
The point is that the original version of ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ did just the opposite, to the point that many viewers remember it as much bloodier than it really is. In reality, that had a minimal presence in the film, which raised the merit of the bad vibes it managed to convey, something in which Daniel Pearl’s work as director of photography was essential.
So evident was that he was even recounted for the 2003 remake, but there is no trace of his presence in the film at hand and it is something that is noticeable. It is true that everything here also takes place in a remote location whose best years are long gone, which connects with the original in terms of the nightmare of deep America, but it is something that is soon set aside for the benefit of the bloody spectacle.
The first few minutes of ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ are mostly geared towards reawakening the beast that is Leatherface. Along the way, the young cast is presented, condemned to end badly, and director David Blue Garcia correctly presents a situation that is not limited to being a repetition of the first installment despite playing with similar ingredients.
From there it is when things get out of hand and it is clear that the main interest of this film is to see the legendary slaughterer finish off anyone who crosses his path in the most graphic way possible. Here there is no room for slow agonies or sowing doubt about what he intends to do with you. What prevails here is the direct impact at all times and the accumulation of corpses.
There is a particularly illustrative sequence of this in which Leatherface ends up with a stroke of the pen with the lives of several characters, all of them with practically no importance in the story. The only crippling angst the film can cause is the feeling that it’s inevitable and sooner or later it’s going to get away with it. But it’s not the same.
