‘The Dropout‘, a series based on real events and starring Amanda Seyfried, tells the story of Elizabeth Holmes, who founded the former company Theranos.

The story of Elizabeth Holmes, the enigmatic Stanford student who dropped out of university and founded Theranos, a company that promised the possibility of performing medical tests at home. Praised as Steve Jobs of the next technological generation, she has managed to attract billions of dollars in investment. The myth was shattered when it was revealed that none of Therano’s equipment actually worked, endangering the health of thousands of people.

The Dropout first three chapters arrive on March 3, 2022, in Hulu and Disney+ in the USA, Sweden, Belgium, Argentina, and 20 April 2022 in Spain and Italy.

Macy, Elizabeth Marvel, Laurie Metcalf, Dylan Minnette, Alan Ruck, Sam Waterson, Michaela Watkins among others.

Executive producers include showrunner Elizabeth Meriwether alongside Liz Heldens, Liz Hannah, Katherine Pope, Rebecca Jarvis, Victoria Thompson, and Taylor Dunn. Michael Showalter directs several episodes and serves as executive producer with Jordana Mollilck, his producing partner at Semi-Formal Productions.
