What Did Miriam Margolyes Say? As she gave her opinion on the new chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, in a live interview on Radio 4, Miriam Margolyes used the f-bomb.
This follows Mr. Hunt’s Friday replacement of Kwasi Kwarteng as No. 11. (14 October). The actress was reminiscing about the day she ran into the former health secretary at a BBC radio station and let out an expletive she had been dying to use.
During an interview, the 81-year-old actress, known for her candour, said she wished Mr. Hunt the best of luck but wanted to use much harsher words.
Margolyes paid tribute to the late actor Robbie Coltrane on BBC Radio 4’s Today program yesterday.
What Did Miriam Margolyes Say?
After being interviewed on the Today show on Robbie Coltrane’s passing, she said to Martha Kearney and Justin Webb that she had also greeted Hunt, who had been a guest on the show earlier that morning.
Webb promptly expressed his regret for the inappropriate language and added:
This scene was extensively shared on Twitter, including by Dino Sofos, the creator of the Brexit cast for the BBC. Dino Sofos referred to Margolyes’ statements as: “possibly the greatest moment in the Today programme’s history.”
While appearing virtually on Channel 4’s The Last Leg in 2020, Margolyes caused a stir when she said she “had difficulty not wanting Boris Johnson to die” due to his battle against Covid-19.
Moreover, this is not the first time media outlets have had to change the subject when discussing Jeremy Hunt quickly.
