Super Pumped Release Date: There are stories in the technology sector that many of us knew would end up as a series or movie. One of them is the story of Travis Kalanick, the controversial ex-CEO of Uber. It has been Showtime who brings us the series ‘Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber‘, which covers the rise and fall of one of the most successful and at the same time destructive ‘unicorns’ in Silicon Valley.

Being Joseph Gordon-Levitt the protagonist of the work embodying Kalanick himself, Uma Thurman and Kyle Chandler will accompany one of the main cast members of The Dark Knight Rises in this trip that, of course, will be constantly reminding us of the wild which was the interpretation of Leonardo DiCaprio in Scorsese’s already mentioned feature film.

The bubble burst and over time the company’s rampages became known, with toxic work culture, depravity, and corruption. Kalanick was CEO until 2017 when he finally said goodbye to the company he had founded. Along the way, numerous scandals for discrimination and sexual abuse.

Precisely what the Showtime series will show is that dark part of what became one of the most important benchmarks in the world of startups and ended up becoming a lesson in just what not to do. Ultimately, Uber’s board of directors had no choice but to increase its pressure for Kalanick to leave the company.
