‘Secrets of Playboy’ is the new documentary that aims to reveal the uncomfortable and dark secrets of Hugh Hefner, his mansion, and the “little” empire he built called Playboy.
After Hefner’s death, several production companies revealed their interest in having the rights to tell the details of his career and of his magazine, which revolutionized the publishing industry for years.
Now it was reported that work is already underway on the series that will be broadcast on the A&E Network channel in 2022 and will tell all the secrets behind the controversial brand.

The story about Playboy will be told in documentary format, so it will have unpublished images of the most significant moments in its history, including testimonies from people who lived in the mansion.
‘Secrets of Playboy’ will include interviews with Miki García, former director of Playmate Promotions; Hefner’s ex-girlfriends such as Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt, and Sondra Theodore; Hefner’s personal assistant, Stefan Tetenbaum; bunny mother PJ Masten and Jennifer Saginor, a resident of Playboy Mansion West, among others.
Also featured are some of Hefner’s ex-girlfriends, including Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt, and Sondra Theodore, as well as Hefner’s personal valet Stefan Tetenbaum, playmate PJ Masten, and Jennifer Saginor, who was a former Playboy Mansion West resident.
At the moment it is not known how much the documentary will reveal, but it is said that this will help create a more realistic and complete image of what it was like to be a part of Playboy while Hefner was at the helm, as well as what led to the company to have to adjust to the times and change its scheme in order to survive.
With never-before-seen images and videos, the documentary series promises to be one of the most comprehensive on Playboy history, focusing on its darkest moments and where the people who were part of it all lived through, and how that has affected the game, the way they think now.
Such a large (and scandalous) empire definitely has some skeletons in the closet, so we can be sure this documentary is going to be very interesting.
