Riverdale Season 7 First Scenes Reveals: The CW show, which will end with the following season, is a crazy take on a classic Archie Comics character. It’s been on the air since 2017, but this will be the last season. A preview of Season 7 of Riverdale showed that the new season would start in the 1950s. The show is known for its crazy turns and twists, but season 6 may have had one of the most daring ones. In this year’s finale, Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) used her newly discovered supernatural powers to stop a comet from hitting the town and destroying it. In the process, she sends everyone back to the 1950s by accident, except for Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), who remembers his life in the present.
This week, the show’s creator, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, celebrated Entertainment Weekly’s article about Season 7 of Riverdale by showing a small part of the premiere’s opening scene. The clip starts with someone putting “Rock Around the Clock” by Bill Haley and His Comets into the jukebox. The returning characters are then introduced in a retro television intro style, with only Jughead looking confused before Jughead explains that it is now 1955. Both use the title and the song to draw attention to the new season about travelling through time.
Riverdale Season 7 First Scenes Reveals
This clip proves that the main characters from Riverdale will be back. This includes Jughead and Cheryl, Archie Andrews (KJ Apa), Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart), Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), Kevin (Casey Cott), Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan), and the new character Tabitha Tate (Erin Westbrook). Also, Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe will still be where teens hang out, but it will feel more modern and less like a throwback.
Even though it started with a big idea, this new season will be calmer and more about the characters. Petsch said that Riverdale’s official last season will be more “grounded” than the show’s recent seasons, even though there will still be bold and strange plots. But suppose the season is going to be about how people interact with each other. In that case, it’s more likely that the characters will find a way to remember their old lives so that a long-running story can end properly instead of everyone starting over. And don’t remind them of the past.
That seems likely, especially since Jughead is trying to figure out what’s going on, but Riverdale has already shown that it’s not afraid to take a wild turn. Fans won’t have to wait long to find out what’s happening. Riverdale is set to start airing in the middle of the season, with season 9 of The Flash in the spring of 2023. This will be the last season of the show.
