Mayfair Witches Season 1 Episode 4 Recap (Is Ciprien Alive?)

Mayfair Witches Season 1 Episode 4: In the fourth episode of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, Rowan (Alexandra Daddario) gets back to her Mayfair home after both of her moms die. Deirdre’s funeral is attended by Rowan and Ciprien (Tongayi Chirisa) (Annabeth Gish). She meets the Mayfairs and has a hard time getting over her birth mother’s death. The episode was mostly about how Rowan, Carlotta Mayfair (Beth Grant), and Cortland Mayfair interacted with each other. The two brothers and sisters don’t have much good to say about each other. In the show’s last few minutes, Carlotta and Rowan have a tense dinner, a fire starts, Ciprien walks in, and Lasher shows up. Lasher (Jack Huston) said that he was torturing the man from the inside, which suggests that a third person was involved. It was a big part of something much bigger. (tvacute.com) Here’s everything you need to know about how Mayfair Witches Episode 4 ended, in case you missed any of the exciting parts.

Mayfair Witches Season 1 Episode 4 Recap

The flashback that starts Episode 4 takes place in Scotland. It starts with Suzanne and a group of women we think are witches mourning the death of Suzanne’s mother. Rowan has a scary dream about Ciprien in the present, where Ciprien changes into Lasher. Rowan doesn’t like how this situation is going. She has to go to her mother’s funeral as soon as she wakes up, and Ciprien has promised to go with her. They clearly care about each other a lot, which makes it more likely that Lasher will feel jealous at some point in the near future. Carlotta goes down to the basement before the service starts to see Delphine. However, Delphine has already died, and Carlotta can’t find the necklace. This means that Lasher needs to talk to Rowan as soon as possible. In the meantime, it looks like Cortland, played by Harry Hamlin, won’t be too happy about going to his niece’s funeral, no matter how hard Josephine tries to get him to go. Rowan is getting closer to becoming a strong witch.

Cortland takes a piece of Dierdre’s hair and puts it in his pocket during the furlough ceremony. We don’t know if it was for witchcraft or if it was just a sick thing to keep. Either way, it was disgusting. In the meantime, Rowan goes to see Carlotta, who tells her that she will answer her questions. After his organisation found out that Dierdre’s death was caused by a man who was possessed, Ciprien was forced to quit. Ciprien’s boss says that the word “possessed” is a controversial one. Ciprien says that he did kill Dierdre, and that he was paid for it by being allowed to put his hand on the face of the man in front of him. But Lasher is telling him what to do now, which means that Lasher will eventually kill him.

Carlotta tells Rowan what she knows about how she is related to the Mayfairs and how Ellie’s family is related to the Mayfairs. She also tells her that Dierdre wanted her to be on her own from the Mayfairs, even though she was sad about her daughter’s death. Carlotta also warns Rowan not to hang out with people who say nice things about Lasher. Rowan gets to meet her whole family at the service, and it seems like the women in the family have always kept their magical abilities a secret. Josephine tells Rowan that the house is hers and that she has full freedom to do whatever she wants with it. Rowan also meets Cortland. As expected, Cortland tells Rowan that Lasher is a gift. But he says that he is not her master and that he is there to protect her, not the other way around. Carlotta comes to the scene when she sees Cortland and Rowan talking to each other. She and her brother start fighting, and he tells Rowan how Dierdre was treated all through her childhood. After the guests leave, Cortland whispers to his child that Lasher is still in the house.

Rowan worries Ciprien because his boss only wants him to look out for her. But Ciprien thinks he needs to do more for her than follow her around as her bodyguard. Ciprien is always with Rowan. He starts looking into the Mayfairs and finds a diary in which a man wrote that as long as the woman kept the necklace, she was Lasher’s. He uses this information to determine whether the woman is one of the Lashers. Rowan then sends him a picture of herself wearing the necklace she had found on her own and told him she had found. She sends it to him in the mail and says she saw it in a dream and it was there. Carlotta is surprised when she goes to the Mayfair house and sees Rowan wearing the necklace. She invites them to have dinner with them in the basement. Rowan is on the same page, and while they are eating, she is always asking about her mother’s health.

Mayfair Witches Season 1 Episode 4 Ending Explain

Carlotta finally tells the truth and says that she hated being Dierdre’s caretaker her whole life and is angry at Rowan because of it. Rowan is scared, especially because she can see that Carlotta is getting more and more angry as time goes on. She starts to make fires in the room and throws a candle at Rowan, which she just barely dodges. Rowan is saved when Ciprien comes to the rescue and opens the door. However, Carlotta stabs Ciprien while he is being saved. He is still alive, though. Rowan and Ciprien have a hard time getting out of the house because Lasher locks all the doors behind them as they leave. He tells Carlotta as well that Rowan is now his.

Rowan and Ciprien go outside. After saying this, he probably kills her anyway. After Rowan put on the necklace, Carlotta probably knew there was nothing that could stop Lasher from making Rowan do what she wanted. She tried to kill him because she didn’t want to deal with the consequences that would have come from them getting together. Carlotta knows things about Lasher’s true nature and what he can do. She is so angry because she thinks there is no way out of her situation, which is clear from the way she is acting. She must have thought that killing Rowan and herself was the best way to end the situation for good, which is why she did what she did. Time will tell if she was right or wrong.
