Is The Squid Game Real Or Fake?

Yes, Squid Game is a real kid’s game that was played in Korea in the 1970s and 1980s.

Squid Game is described as a type of game similar to Capture the Flag or Red Rover, in which the opposing attack and defense teams play within an octopus-shaped playing field that is usually drawn into the ground.

“Squid Game” From South Korea Could Become Netflix’s Biggest Hit

The Netflix series “Squid Game” is on everyone’s lips. The hit from South Korea has blossomed into the streaming provider’s top title in a very short time. And it goes up steeply. “‘Squid Game’ will definitely be our biggest non-English-language series”, quote US media such as “CNET” Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos (57).

“Squid Game” is currently celebrating great success on Netflix and is trendy. The bizarre story in which several indebted people take part in children’s games and have to pay with their lives in the event of a defeat is certainly responsible for this. On the other hand, the winner beckons a large sum of money. This rather crazy premise is now familiar to some attentive “Squid Game” viewers, as reported by The Star .

Squid Game Very Similar To As The Gods Will (Japanese Horror Film)

The South Korean series is very similar to the Japanese horror film “As the Gods Will” by the iconic director Takashi Miike ( “Audition” ). Both Asian works are about deadly games from childhood and there are also some similarities in imagery between the first episode of the Netflix series and the film. In “As the Gods Will”, for example, a close-up of a doll’s head appears and a scene occurs in which a countdown can be seen.

After the terrific success of the series, many fans are of course wondering whether the story should be continued with a second season. Our video provides you with the answers.
