Is Sidney Crosby playing tonight against the St. Louis Blues: The Pittsburgh Penguins and Sidney Crosby are going to St. Louis to play the Blues. The game starts at 3:30 PM ET at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis and will be shown live on ABC.
Crosby will be able to play tonight, unless something goes wrong at the last minute. The teams played each other early in December, and the Penguins beat the Blues 6-2. The Pirates are 27-21-9, but both teams have lost their last four games.
Sidney Crosby is the team leader in points, goals, and assists, even though he is 35 years old. With 25 goals and 44 assists, he has 69 points. Tonight, his opponent will be Jordan Kyrou, who is 24 years old and has scored 25 goals for the Blues this season, giving him 54 points.
The Edmonton Oilers beat Pittsburgh by a score of 7-2, which was a very bad loss for Pittsburgh. The only point scored by the Pens was by Kris Letang, while Connor McDavid had four. This season, his two goals gave him 25 points from 39 games.
Sidney Crosby and GM Ron Hextall are not bothered by how people feel about the embarrassing loss
Thursday night, fans at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh booed their team. This was a rare event for the team that has won the Stanley Cup three times.
Fans who chanted “Fire Hextall” during the Oilers game got the same answer from GM Ron Hextall. Fans have booed him before, and he thinks they have the “right to chant and say whatever they want.” He doesn’t take offence at their criticism because it’s part of the job.
Hextall talked again about his plans for the Penguins and, more importantly, the trade deadline that is coming up soon. He said that any trades they make will help them both in the long run and in the current season.
We are going to do everything we can to improve the team. We’re not looking to spend big assets on rentals. If we’re going to spend, it’s going to help us this year and in years to come.
There is a lot at stake for the Penguins. They have made the playoffs for 16 straight years, which is the longest active streak in major North American professional sports. They don’t want to risk losing that record.
