Hogwarts Legacy Release Date: At the end of the year, Warner Bros. will launch Hogwarts Legacy, an ambitious adaptation of the Harry Potter universe. A long gameplay video allowed to discover more about the RPG which has everything of a dream for fans.

After years of rumors and, above all, fantasies, Warner Bros. formalized Hogwarts Legacy. It is a video game developed by Avalanche Software and based on the famous Harry Potter saga. On March 17, 2022, 14 minutes of gameplay were unveiled and fans are already in heaven.

Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley in Hogwarts Legacy, Is It Possible?

The answer is no. Hogwarts Legacy takes place at the end of the 19th century and the story begins very precisely on September 1, 1890. The player then embodies a student who must enter the 5th year directly and who controls a very rare form of ancient magic. The developers indicated it in the interview following the very complete gameplay trailer of Thursday, March 17: their desire was to create a universe familiar to fans of the Harry Potter saga but in which they could live their own story. No question therefore of exploring Hogwarts castle at the same time as Norbert Scamander (Fantastic Beasts) or Voldemort.

Not Harry But Other Known Characters From Books And Movies!

This may be sad news for fans of JK Rowling’s novels or for those who dreamed of seeing Daniel Radcliffe in a video game version but rest assured: this will in no way affect the quality of Hogwarts Legacy. Especially since many references will be present on the walls of the castle and around.

The recent gameplay trailer even shows us that well-known characters like Nearly Headless Nick and Peeves will be in the game as well as three other well-known characters from the books and movies. Who knows? Maybe we might even come across young Albus Dumbledore returning to Hogwarts in 1892!

As a reminder, the Hogwarts Legacy game will be released at the end of 2022 on all platforms.
