Girl Wash Your Face Author: The niche audience for the self-help book Girl, Wash Your Face: Stop Believing the Lies About Who You Are so that you can Become Who You Were Meant to Be is narrow.
The book is put together in an interesting way. Each chapter begins with a lie that we believe, and then the rest of the chapter shows us why it’s not true. Lie: “I’m not enough” and “I’ll never get over this” are two examples. Depending on your life, some will be more useful or important to you than others. Rachel Hollis uses stories from her own life to make the book more personal and to show how she came to her conclusions.
Girl Wash Your Face Author
This year, American author Rachel Hollis released a self-help book titled Girl, Wash Your Face: Stop Believing the Lies About Who You Are so You Can Become Who You Were Meant to Be through Thomas Nelson.
As most of the problems she faces are more mental than physical. The book can seem shallow because it’s full of motivational quotes for people who don’t have “real” problems. However, one chapter is about saving up for a ridiculously expensive Louis Vuitton bag. People who don’t have the same advantages as her might think her problems and goals aren’t important. But people in her situation find the book helpful, which can be seen by how well it sells.
Even though the book seems to have good intentions and she does talk about a lot of common fears, her advice on how to deal with them isn’t always the best. Even though she says it’s a lie that our weight defines us, she talks about the unhealthy things she did to lose weight and says, “If the calories you eat in a day are less than the calories you burn off in a day, you will lose weight,” which most nutritionists would disagree with.
