With the help of the two drilling crews, Ed has devised a strategy for the mission.

Moods on Sojourner-1 are sour. Kelly meets with Poletov to discuss business.

After exceeding its pressure limit, the drill malfunctions. When Danny sees the warnings flashing on the screen, he loses focus and starts to freak out.

Drill injuries cause Ed and the others to return to Earth’s surface.

There is an earthquake caused by the drill, which causes boulders to shatter and land on the astronauts.
