Dasara is set in the village of Veerlapalle in Godhavarikhani, where Dharani (Nani) and his friends, including Vennela (Keerthy Suresh), are addicted to alcohol. The story takes a serious turn when Soori (Dheekshith Shetty) is killed on his wedding night. The film revolves around finding the killer and the aftermath of the incident.

Nani’s performance as Dharani is exemplary, showcasing a new side of his acting abilities. Keerthy Suresh also delivers a strong performance as Vennela. Dheekshith Shetty and Shine Tom Chacko are equally impressive in their roles, as are the supporting cast members.

Srikanth Odela makes a decent debut as a director, showing his skills on the big screen. However, as a writer, he fails to choose a compelling story. The screenplay is engaging in the first half but loses steam in the second half, making the film predictable.

The action sequences and dialogues are praiseworthy, and Nani’s rugged look adds to the film’s appeal. The interval and climax are worth watching, but the film’s serious tone leaves little room for humor. Some of the dialogues are inaudible, and the placement of the popular track “Chamkeela Angeelesi” is disappointing.

Technically, the film boasts strong cinematography, music, and production values. However, editing could have been better, and a tighter second half would have made Dasara more engaging.

In conclusion, Dasara is a gritty action drama with Nani’s outstanding performance carrying the film. Despite a few slow moments in the second half, it’s a perfect choice for a weekend watch.
