Cruel Summer Season 2 Release Date
As of January 2023, we don’t know when season 2 of Cruel Summer will come out. On the show’s Twitter account, there was a teaser that said season 2 would start in 2022, but that turned out to be wrong. We’ve heard rumours that it might come in the summer of 2023, but nothing official has been said yet.
Tara Duncan, the president of Freeform, announced that Cruel Summer would be back for a second season before the end of the first season in June 2021. At the time, Duncan said it was “an easy decision” because the show had become the network’s most-watched show ever, according to Deadline.
The cast and crew were lucky that filming began in April 2022 and ended on September 7, 2022.
Cruel Summer’s first season will air on Freeform in April 2021. Since filming won’t start until April 2022, that’s still a while away. Still, the official Twitter account posted a clip of a VHS with the words “Season 2 coming 2022” on it, so it looks like we’ll still get it in 2022.
