Chicago Med is the third instalment in creator Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise, with predecessors Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. The programme follows the doctors and nurses of the Gaffney Chicago Health Center’s fictitious emergency room (ED) in Chicago. The protagonists of these three TV shows in the Chicago trio occasionally cross over, adding another layer of intrigue for viewers.

American actor Nick Gehlfuss portrays Dr Will Halstead, a notable plastic neurosurgeon who originally appeared on the show as the supervisor visiting physician in the emergency room. Investigator Will Halstead is the younger brother of Chicago P.D.’s fictional Inspector Jay Halstead.

Yaya DaCosta, a famous American actress and model, plays April Sexton, a nurse at the ER who is the first generation of her family to be born in the United States. April’s younger brother Noah is a third-year clinical student at the same school. The Chicago Fire cadet and Lieutenant Kelly Severide consider her a childhood friend. In season 6, she applied to become a nurse specialist and was granted the position so she could better care for her patients.

Season 8, episode 9 of Chicago Med is titled “This Could Be The Start of Something New,” and spoilers hint that there are a few obstacles to overcome before the wedding, so it stands to reason that it will air at the end of the hour. – With April no longer a regular and Dr Ethan Choi, a Navy veteran, leaving Chicago Med after this episode, nothing less than a happily ever after for these two would do.

Since they constantly argued while being on TV together, they weren’t the best partners. In contrast, Choi has evolved since he recovered from his shooting, and April is content in her career path since she has earned her nurse practitioner credential. As a result, they are guaranteed to live happy life together.

All of the members of the crew wave goodbye to the happy couple. Daniel and Sharon could share a sorrowful moment. Sharon may feel mixed emotions about the engagement because she will miss working with both the happy couple and Choi. Daniel will likely back Sharon up on this. Plus, their relationship will develop away from the spotlight.

Since this episode will also feature Tee’s final appearance as the adored ER doctor, many viewers are curious about what will become of Ethan and April after the wedding bells stop ringing.
