It was recently reported by Billboard that Selena took time to explain the importance of her new ink, which was initially discovered by fans on Live With Kelly and Ryan in December 2021.

On January 10, Sel appeared on the show and revealed that the tattoo on her upper back, a big watercolor-style bleeding rose, has several meanings.

It means a couple of different things, Cara is one of my best friends that I’ve known for a long time. I was maybe 16 when I met her. She calls me ‘Rosebud.’ So, it’s a nickname. I’ve always wanted a rose and now I got one and I love it.

Cara, who also has the same design inked on her ribs, has yet to speak to us, but we know she adores it.

Selena also talked about her other matching tattoos throughout the conversation, and there are a lot of them.

There’s no telling how big Selena Gomez’s newest tattoo will be, but we know that Cara Delevingne has the same one.

Keith Scott “Bang Bang” McCurdy, a well-known celebrity tattoo artist, tweeted a black-and-white photo of Sel’s new tat back in December.

Even though Selena didn’t go into great depth in her Instagram post, it is evident from the picture that this was one of her most extensive designs to date, running from the nape of her neck down her back.

The official Bang Bang account posted a full-color close-up of the tattoo for the first time this week.

Selena’s spine is covered in pink petals with a greyscale stalk that droops down her back.

Sel is no stranger to the ink business, with a collection of delicate and profound tattoos under her belt, but this one sticks out for its vibrant hues and watercolor-inspired design.

In fact, Sel isn’t the only celebrity to have the beautiful rose tattooed on her body. After posting a picture of Cara Delevingne on Instagram, Bang Bang revealed that she also sports the same watercolor flower design.

Compared to Selena, Cara’s rose is tattooed on the side of her chest, with the petals and stem pouring down to her hip.
