Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 2 Makes 5 Excellent Improvements

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 2 Makes 5 Excellent Improvements: We no longer have to wait. Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is here, and it has a long list of changes, many of which are big improvements. Activision wrote a lot of patch notes for the new season, explaining all the new features and changes. Warzone 2.0 has been in a strange place lately, so it’s good to see so many good things happening. Even though there’s a lot to be excited about, what are the most important new features or changes? Here are five of the most important new things in Season 2 of Warzone 2.0.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 2 Makes 5 Excellent Improvements

Weapon Balancing

In Season 2, there have been a lot of changes to weapons. These changes are meant to make the meta more balanced and interesting. Even though the season is so new, it’s clear that something has changed: the top contenders from last season are no longer too strong. Some of these weapons are the Fennec 45 and the RPK, which used to be so powerful that they left most other weapons in the dust.

Surprisingly, these two guns are still pretty good, which is rare after a weapon has been weakened. Most of the time, Activision will weaken a powerful weapon so much that it’s almost useless after an update. However, the Fennec 45 and the RPK are still competitive without making you feel like you have to use them to win. This does make it possible for other top-tier weapons like the M13B, Kastov 762, Lachmann Sub, and Chimera to be used, which makes the game’s gunplay more interesting.

Play Again Feature

After a match, Warzone 2.0 finally has a “Play Again” button. This one might not seem like much, but it really speeds things up by letting you queue up right after a match instead of having to go back to the main menu and then back into a lobby. Before Season 2, the time between matches would often feel like an eternity when you took into account load times and button presses. This is a much-needed improvement.

Tuning Improvements

Along with changes to how weapons are balanced, there have also been changes to how attachments are tuned. Before, tuning a weapon wasn’t always a good idea because the cons often outweighed the pros. This wasn’t always the case, but players had to keep this in mind when deciding how to tune a weapon. Activision has gotten rid of the bad things and made the good things even better. This gives players more reason to actually tune and gives them a good reason to use this mechanic.

Also, you can now tune Laser attachments for the first time. This was a feature that was missing for some reason before. Now that lasers can be tuned, players have more reason to use them (especially since tuning is more beneficial).

Faster movement While Plating

Another change that might not seem important is that you can move faster while wearing an armour plate. This is a big deal because, once again, it speeds up the story in a big way. Before, trying to plate up an opponent who had already hit you was hard because you had to move so slowly. Before the plating change, if an enemy shot at you first, you pretty much had no chance of staying alive. Now, as part of Season 2, you have a lot more ways to stay alive. Now, you can run faster than your enemy, jump out a window, plate up, and start the gunfight all over again without slowing down.

This was one of the most-requested features before Season 2, since this was how Warzone worked in the first game. When plating up in the first game, it was common for players to often outmanoeuvre each other.

Ashika Island

Last but not least, I can’t talk about Season 2 without talking about the return of Resurgence mode on the new Ashika Island. Fans like Resurgence mode because it lets players keep coming back to life as long as at least one other person is still alive. This mode has matches with 40 to 52 players, which means you can get to the end in 12 to 15 minutes, which is great for people who don’t have a lot of free time.

As for Ashika Island itself, it is a fresh new map with a lot of interesting things to see (POIs). In Ashika, there aren’t as many big open spaces as in Al Mazrah, which helps keep the action moving. When moving to different points of interest (POIs) on Al Mazrah, you’d often get stuck between two pieces of cover. This stopped players from moving at all. On Ashika, everything is much closer together, and there are important hubs all over the place. There is even an underground area that looks like Fortune’s Keep. This gives players more ways to move around the map.

Tsuki Castle is one of the best POIs. It is a huge Japanese building with many entrances, making it a fun place to battle opponents. Even though it’s only been out for a few days, we’ve already had a lot of fun at this POI and around Ashika Island in general, which is a great sign for the new map.
