Blue Bloods Season 13 Episode 2: This week’s episode of Blue Bloods, Season 13, airs this Friday, so get caught up with the Reagans then.

After Frank tells the Reagans he won’t be supporting Erin for district attorney, expect tensions to rise within the family this week.

We may assume that Erin won’t be the only one at Sunday dinner with comments on her father’s decision after the hint that Frank’s decision will generate strife among the family.

Jamie’s new job as a field intelligence sergeant will present him with an unexpected challenge, as we’ll see in the rest of the episode.

Blue Bloods Season 13 Episode 2 Preview

This is directed at Jamie Reagan, whose professional life will take a startlingly different turn.

We had believed for a while that, like Frank before him, he would be groomed for the position of Police Commissioner.

While the promotional image below depicts him in a suit, he is clearly in a new role requiring a different skill set.

So, what exactly is going on? A possible allusion to his new position as a field intelligence sergeant, in which he will play a crucial but more covert role in vetting and identifying potential CIs.

Jamie may stay at the same precinct as Eddie while doing the extensive work required to bring down high-level crooks.

We know he and his wife placed a high value on this, which seems like an innovative way to ensure it materializes.

We don’t expect episode 2 to reveal what Jamie’s new function will be immediate; instead, it seems to ease into it.

You should also remember that he still needs time to heal from the trauma he experienced at the premiere’s close when shots were fired.

Given that this is a procedural, we don’t know if it will have any natural effect on him, but we hope it gets mentioned. At this time, don’t we deserve at least that?
