More than 150 million people have seen the videos and images of the phenomena on China’s Twitter-like social media, Weibo and Sina, according to an article in Global Times.
Why Does Zhoushan City In China Have Blood Red Sky?
Netizens speculated that China’s red sky in 1770 may have been caused by a solar storm, but local authorities have reassured the public that this incident has nothing to do with solar activity.
There are several theories as to how a fishing boat collecting Pacific saury may have caused the sky to become a reddish tint.
