It was reported early on Friday that a man had attacked Paul Pelosi with a hammer at the couple’s home in San Francisco.
According to a person with knowledge of the crime, the suspect who attacked Paul Pelosi was looking for the speaker of the House.
When the speaker’s spouse was home in San Francisco, an intruder burst in and demanded to know, “Where is Nancy? The question “Where is Nancy?” if you believe the source.
A spokesman for Ms. Pelosi claimed that her husband, 82-year-old Paul Pelosi, was assaulted in the couple’s San Francisco home but was expected to recover.
A San Francisco Police Department spokesman, Officer Robert Rueca, said in a statement that a suspect had been taken into custody sometime after the burglary was reported shortly before 2:30 a.m. local time.
The San Francisco F.B.I. office has confirmed that the suspect is a male.
The Capitol Police claimed they “immediately arrived on scene” special agents from their California field office.
According to the Capitol Police, the F.B.I. and the San Francisco police have assisted investigators from the Capitol Police’s threat assessment department on the East Coast.

Ms. Jean-Pierre issued a statement in which she said that the President “continues to denounce all violence” and asked that the family’s need for solitude be honored.
