What Was Wrong With Hodas Daughter? Back on TODAY is Hoda Kotb!

She returned to the show on March 6 after being away for a few weeks to take care of something personal. The co-host of TODAY told people that her 3-year-old daughter, Hope, had been sick but is now back home.

My youngest, Hope, was in the ICU for a few days and in the hospital for a little more than a week, I’m so grateful she’s home. She is back home. I was waiting for that day to come. And we are watching her closely. I’m just so happy.

Hoda then got emotional as she told co-anchor Savannah Guthrie how thankful she was.

I’m grateful for the doctors at Weill Cornell who were amazing and the nurses. And I’m grateful to my family, and I’m grateful to friends like you who were there every single day. So, I want to say thank you for that. I love you.

Savannah replied

Hoda said on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna that what happened was “really scary,” She said again how happy she is that Hope is out of the hospital.
