According to the facts, Drake hosted the Nike Maxim Awards, a huge party attended by several Nike officials.
Drake was allowed to deliver a monologue at the event and certainly gave it when it came to the comedy department.
Brendan Dunne of Complex said that Drake made a quip about New Balance in passing, but the audience didn’t find it funny.

There were mutterings of disapproval from the audience, who knew that Nike’s top brass takes brand image exceptionally seriously.
Over and above that, Drake joked about Ann Hebert, the Nike employee whose son was dismissed for running a resale scheme.
The artist also poked fun at Nike’s distribution issues and had some choice words for the Oregon Ducks.
Naturally, Drake maintained his momentum throughout the entire speech.
