Two British Navy Officers: Two lieutenants in the Royal Navy fought a small war in the ice and snow of the Anarctic. This may be a first. Lieutenants Jonny Talbot and Max Friswell played Warhammer 40K on the ice outside of Rothera Research Station, which is a British Antarctic Survey base on the Antarctic peninsula. This was recently featured on the website of the British navy.
Even though there are no official records for this kind of thing, Talbot and Friswell’s skirmish may have been the most southern game of Warhammer 40K ever played.
According to an article on the Royal Navy’s website, Talbot and Friswell play a game every week on their ship’s conference room table.
For this battle, Talbot used an army of Rift Stalkers with an Arctic theme, while Friswell used an army of Imperial Guards. After the battle, the Rift Stalkers came out on top.
Warhammer 40K is the most popular miniature skirmish game of all time. It takes place in a grim, dark future that is very far away.
Players build armies of a single faction, which can be anything from superhuman Space Marines to hostile alien empires to the deadly forces of Chaos.
Even though all you need to play Warhammer 40K is an army of miniatures, a ruler, and some dice, the buy-in is usually several hundred dollars.
As popular as the game is, it’s likely that the franchise will become even more popular in the years to come.
Amazon Studios has said it wants to make a Warhammer 40K Cinematic Universe, and Henry Cavill will be both the lead actor and the executive producer.
Cavill is known to like Warhammer 40K and often talks about it in interviews.
Some other famous people who like Warhammer 40K are Rahul Kohli from Midnight Mass, David Harbour from Stranger Things, and Shayna Baszler from WWE.
