The fourth installment about the superhero played by Chris Hemsworth hits theaters on July 8, 2022, and Marvel Studios has released the first preview of the film directed by Taika Waititi, who returns to stand behind the cameras of a film of the Asgardian god after Thor: Ragnarök.

But what has attracted the most attention is the figure of the character that Bale plays, since the ‘live action’ representation of the villain Gorr raised many doubts among comic book fans.
As you can see in the tweet below, Gorr will be much more human-looking than he can be seen in the comics. One of the characteristic features of The God Butcher is his “alien” look and the tentacles on his head. Something that, from what we see in the images, the character played by Bale will not have, since he will keep his nose. Of course, the whitish color of his skin and some marks on his face will be visible.
Another of Gorr’s key elements in the comics is the escape with which he kills all kinds of divinities, known as the Necrosword. As we see in the images, it seems that he is going to have an important place in the film.

The film, which is inspired by the celebrated stage in Jason Aaron’s comics where the female version of Thor was introduced, already clearly shows Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) as the new bearer of Mjölnir and the Guardians of the Galaxy as inevitable, comparsas of the hero, who returns to embody Chris Hemsworth. Other old acquaintances who return are Tessa Thompson, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Chris Pratt, and Jeff Goldblum, as well as Taika Waititi, director of the film, in its monstrous and digital version.
