Thirteen years after Avatar, the second installment of James Cameron’s saga will finally hit cinema screens on December 14. After having given the exclusivity to theaters for a few days, 20th Century Studio has just posted a first enticing teaser.

This first glimpse, where only the words of the protagonist Jake Sully resonate, speaking of his family as a fortress, depicts environments of an unreal beauty, always with the luxuriant jungle of Pandora, but also and above all a new aquatic area, both on its surface and under the waves.

This natural and peaceful world, populated by the Na’vi, will however be disturbed by the return of the RDA ( Resources Development Administration ) and its very human machinery.

Yes, we can clearly see from here the theme used, as simple as it is effective at a time when global warming and the destruction of fauna and flora are a real issue. The Na’vi will in particular have to fight against the Avatars used by the Humans, a new duel of David against Goliath symbolized here by firearms as opposed to simple bows and arrows. You will also note the presence of the son of Jack and Neytiri, visibly a hybrid between the two races.
