The Simpsons Season 34 Episode 13: Even though season 34 of The Simpsons came back in early January, viewers will have to wait a while for the next episode because the show takes a break every year. The Simpsons has been on TV for more than 35 years, and with more than 700 episodes, it doesn’t look like it’s going to end any time soon. But that doesn’t mean that the crew, writers, actors, and animators don’t sometimes need a break.
Even though the show came back on January 1 (with the episode “My Life as a Vlog,” which made fun of The Simpsons’ “Golden Age”), it will not be on for a while. The next episode of The Simpsons season 34, episode 13, “The Many Saints of Springfield,” is coming, and hopefully it will be worth the wait. Even so, there’s not much to worry about with this long time between Simpsons episodes.
The Simpsons Season 34 Episode 13 Release Date
Unlike season 33 in 2022, which was put on hold because of big sports events, season 34 of The Simpsons is not on hiatus. Instead, The Simpsons are taking a break so that season 34 can come out on time. This means that episode 13 of season 34 will air on February 19. Season 34 of The Simpsons broke a lot of comedy rules, which helped the long-running show get some of its best reviews in years. Since it takes eight months to write, animate, and make each episode, the people who make The Simpsons need time to make sure that the next episodes are just as good as part one of Season 34.
The Simpsons Season 34 Episode 13 Preview
“The Many Saints of Springfield,” the first episode of season 34, will feature Joe Mantegna’s return as the fan-favorite supporting character Fat Tony. Even though there hasn’t been an official summary of the episode yet, it seems likely that, based on the title alone, it will be a spoof of mob movie tropes, like most of Fat Tony’s appearances on The Simpsons. One of the oldest jokes in The Simpsons is that Fat Tony isn’t as scary as he looks. This goes back to a season 3 episode in which Skinner scares off the mobster and his goons with a strict lecture.
The title of the episode, “The Many Saints of Springfield,” comes from the movie “The Many Saints of Newark,” which is a prequel to “The Sopranos.” It is not yet clear if “The Many Saints of Springfield” will be a direct parody of that movie. The episode could be a reenactment of that gangster movie with a young Fat Tony playing Tony Soprano, or it could just use the movie’s name for a story about Fat Tony that has nothing to do with the movie. When The Simpsons season 34, episode 13 airs on February 19, only time will tell if it is serious about making fun of The Many Saints of Newark.
