On 23 May 2014, it was officially announced that the show has been recommissioned for a thrilling second series set to air in 2015. In this new series, the men and women will be featured separately on consecutive nights each week. Viewers can look forward to two episodes per week, with Wednesdays dedicated to the men’s island and Thursdays focused on the women’s experience. However, due to the United Kingdom general election on 7 May 2015, only the women’s episode was aired that week, while the men’s episode was postponed by a week. To wrap up the exhilarating journey, a special episode titled “Surviving the Island” will air on 21 May. The competitors will endure the challenges of the island for an impressive five weeks. Get ready for more excitement and survival skills showcased in the upcoming series of “The Island”!
