The Gray Man Post Credit Scene

The Gray Man Post Credit Scene: The Gray Man, the latest film from Anthony and Joe Russo, will debut on Netflix on July 22. The film is easily one of the most anticipated action events of the summer. This is due in no small part to the film’s impressive cast, which includes actors such as Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, and Billy Bob Thornton.

And considering that a significant number of recent blockbuster films, including action movies, as well as other types of films, have included mid- or post-credit scenes, moviegoers have begun to speculate about whether or not The Gray Man, which is also opening in theatres this weekend, will follow suit and provide audiences with a little something extra after the main film has concluded.

The Gray Man Post Credit Scene

No, The Gray Man does not have a scene after or in the middle of the credits.

After the movie’s conclusion, some eye-catching images accompany the credits, which are worth checking out.

There is, however, neither an additional sequence nor a stinger that either develops the plot or hints at a possible sequel.

If you are short on time, you won’t miss anything if you leave the theatre after the final shot and the credits begin listing the actors and actresses engaged in the production.

The song playing throughout the opening credits is “Wild Child” by The Black Keys, taken from their album Dropout Boogie, released in 2022. This information is provided for anyone curious about the track because it is so catchy.

What Is The Gray Man About?

In the opening scene of the film, which takes place in Florida State Prison in the year 2003, a man who will later be known as Six (Ryan Gosling) is being recruited to join an elite unit of the CIA by a man named Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton).

For Six to be released from prison, he has agreed to spend the rest of his life working as a highly-skilled assassin for the CIA.

Eighteen years have passed, and we now find Six working a job. It is made abundantly plain to his co-worker Suzanne (Jessica Henwick) that her co-worker, Denny Carmichael (Regé-Jean Page), does not trust Six. He is receiving commands through an earpiece from Denny Carmichael.

It would appear that “The Gray Men” program is no longer relevant at the CIA now that Fitzroy, who was responsible for recruiting Six, has retired.

The program is so archaic that Six quickly discovers that the person he has been tasked with eliminating was a Gray Man, just like himself.

Before he passes away, he hands Six a thumb drive that includes evidence that the CIA is now murdering the people they initially recruited because they believe former criminals to be too unstable. This information is given to Six just before he passes away.

Six reaches out to his longtime friend Fitzroy to ask for his assistance in escaping the police.

Denny and Suzanne, in charge of the CIA, employ an outside assassin Lloyd (Chris Evans), to track down Six and retrieve the thumb drive.

Because Lloyd is a sociopath who doesn’t follow the rules, he decides to abduct Fitzroy’s young niece in the hopes of manipulating Fitzroy into betraying Six.

We find out through a flashback that Six and Fitzroy’s niece Claire (played by Julia Butters) had crossed paths in the past when Fitzroy hired Six to protect Claire while he was away on CIA business, and Six was assigned to do so.

Because of their unique connection, Six immediately sets out to save Claire after learning that she has been abducted. He is assisted in this mission by Dani, another CIA agent who has defected from the organization (Ana de Armas).

All of this builds up to a massive battle in a castle, where Lloyd currently holds both Claire and Fitzroy as hostages.

What Is The Gray Man Ending Explained?

Fitzroy is shot and dies while attempting to escape with Six and Claire after Six successfully runs with them. Lloyd finally gets up to Six and Claire, using his superior strength to hold Claire captive (again).

While this is happening inside the castle, Dani has a confrontation with Avik San, one of the hit men hired by Lloyd to kill Six (Dhanush).

Avik has succeeded in retrieving the thumb drive containing the MacGuffin, but after realizing how “dishonorable” Lloyd is, he has decided to return the device to Dani.

After being taken outside by Lloyd, Claire is trapped in the middle of a hedge maze. As the sun begins to rise, Lloyd and Six engage in combat.

However, it is not Six who is responsible for Lloyd’s death in the end; instead, it is Suzanne, also known as the CIA agent portrayed by Jessica Henwick.

Suzanne was eventually driven to her breaking point after consistently opposing Lloyd’s use of violent methods.

After Suzanne kills Lloyd, she informs Six that she will use her connections at the CIA to frame Lloyd for all the recent deaths and destruction.

She reveals to Six that he will return to prison but that she will “let him out to play sometimes” because he is such a compelling hit guy.

She assures Six that she will see that Claire has a long and healthy life if he just agrees to these conditions.

After two weeks have passed, Six is currently recuperating from his wounds at a hospital with a high level of deep security underground.

Dani, Denny, and Suzanne had all made their way back to the CIA, and according to the agency’s version of events, none of them committed any policy violations.

Claire is currently being monitored by CIA personnel while she is under home imprisonment in Virginia. Suzanne reassures Denny that the CIA can maintain control over Six as long as they have Claire.

But hold on a second. When Suzanne and Denny go to see Six in that extremely guarded prison, they are shocked to find that the guards have been murdered, and Six is no longer there.

When Claire visits Virginia, she discovers a message on one of her most cherished albums that instructs her to “Play me, loud.”

After doing so, she puts her hands over her ears to muffle the sound of the guards being killed around her.

Six remarks about Claire’s habit of chewing gum after entering her chamber, and then he and Claire hop on their horses and ride off into the distance.
