Disney+ will stream the series in Japan this Summer, but no international license has been announced as of this writing.

Is ‘The Devil Is a Part-Timer’ Good?

Following his defeat at the hands of the hero Emilia, the Devil King, also known as Mao, flees from his world to our world in Tokyo with his general. The show follows their adventures.

Now that they are both without magic in Tokyo, Mao decides to accept a part-time job at a fast-food restaurant so that the two of them can make ends meet while his general takes care of the housework. But that’s not all because not too much longer after that, other people from his realm, like the hero Emilia, will also show up.

The show produces brilliant comedic material based on the idea that a cast of influential fantasy figures is attempting to maintain an everyday existence while also surviving. In addition, the show delves into the ethics of its characters and explores what it means to be either good or evil.
