Silent Witness Season 2 Episodes 9 & 10: Emilia Fox plays Dr. Nikki Alexander in the 26th season of Silent Witness.
The show’s hugely popular 25th-anniversary special series led into the new season, which has Nikki and Jack in danger as they take on a huge criminal network.
That was when original star Amanda Burton came back as Sam Ryan, who was once a much-loved character on the show but acted very suspiciously throughout the most recent season.
In the second two-part story, which follows the first two-part story, a group of dead and dying people are found in the back of a lorry that had been left at a quarry. EastEnders star Jack Ryder plays a guest role in this story.
At first, it looks like sex trafficking, but it soon becomes clear that things are not what they seem to be. Since the survivors won’t talk, Nikki and the team must use their knowledge of pathology and forensics to figure out who died and what happened.
In the third two-part story, the team is “thrown into the dark side of social media, where nothing is as it seems and the perfect profiles of the influencers they are investigating raise disturbing questions.”
In the fourth two-part story, Jack helps an old friend and gets caught up in a hard case where he has to go up against his old mentor. As Nikki and the team try to figure out what happened, they discover that nothing is what it seems. When they have to deal with a family of police officers, they have to be careful because their relationships are another problem they have to solve.

The 26th season of Silent Witness started on BBC One on January 2 at 9 p.m. You can also watch episodes on iPlayer. The next episode will air on BBC One on Monday, January 30, at 9 p.m. The story ends on Tuesday night, also at 9 o’clock.
