British director Michael Grandage (Red) helms the drama My Policeman, which follows PC Tom Burgess as he tries to keep his sexual orientation a secret from his friends and family in Brighton, England, in 1957.

This film examines the persecution of homosexuality in 1950s Britain, based on Bethan Roberts’s novel of the same name, published in 2012.
