The new horror series directed by Mike Flanagan will hit the platform on September 24, but today we got to see its first trailer and it is as attractive as it is creepy. Mike Flanagan surprised many with ‘ The Curse of Hill House ‘, one of the best horror series of recent years and one of the best Netflix original titles.
Flanagan’s new series tells the story of an isolated community on Crockett Island whose peace is ended when the arrival of a young priest coincides with a series of “inexplicable and seemingly miraculous events” that will awaken “a renewed religious fervor to seize the community ”, as the synopsis of the series explains.
Being a Mike Flanagan series, hopefully, things will quickly turn terrifying as supernatural horrors begin to creep into the city and tear its already divided community apart. The trailer presented ghostly figures, faded eyes, and something that has all the signs of being a cult is glimpsed.
Midnight Mass Is Based On
The series is based on the homonymous novel by Christopher Pike about a group of terminally ill teenagers who gather in a hospice to tell scary stories at midnight until they fulfill a terrible pact.

It seems that actress Kate Siegel has taken a liking to the horror genre and that Netflix trusts her as a claim to their genre productions since the actress accumulates projects directed to the platform. After participating in The Curse of Hill House and The Curse of Bly Manor, the actress works on Mike Flanagan’s new series, Midnight Mass.
