Mary Mara Cause Of Death: “ER” and “Ray Donavan” actress Mary Mara has died, her manager Craig Dorfman confirmed in a statement. She was 61 years old.

A press release from the New York State Police stated that Mara was found dead on June 26 in the St. Lawrence River after a suspected drowning incident. According to the press announcement, no foul play was suspected in the death of Mara.

Due to the ongoing investigation being conducted by the Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office, the official cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

Officials said Mara was visiting her sister when she decided to take a dip in the river. There’s still some mystery about what happened afterward, though.

Several fans of the actress turned to social media to express their sorrow and sympathies following the tragic news.

The Preppie Murder was Maya’s first starring role on television in 1989. She was also an essential character in the police drama Nash Bridges, playing inspector Bryn Carson.

Mary portrayed Sherri Wexler, an entertainment reporter, in The West Wing (2001). The role of Deborah Mahaffey in Judging Amy (2001) was likewise played by her.

Her best-known role, though, was in the television series Law & Order (1993-1999). On the show, she played Ms. Sharkey/Sally Knight.

NYPD Blue, Shameless, Ally McBall, Farscape, and Ray Donovan are among her other prominent roles.

Although the official cause of death has not yet been determined, the police have stated that there was no evidence of foul play and that it appeared as though Mara had drowned while swimming. Her manager, Craig Dorfman, said he referred to her as “electric, hilarious, and a true individual.” She was a fantastic actor in addition to being well-liked by many people.
