When Madelyn Cline and Jackson Guthy, frontman for the band North of Nine, were spotted on a date in Malibu, California, in July 2022, rumours began to circulate that the two were an item. The Cut published an interview with Cline in December 2022, which said that she lived with her boyfriend and dogs in a house in Malibu. This was proof that they were dating. In the same month, Guthy posted a picture of him and Cline together for her 25th birthday on his Instagram Story. This was another way for him to confirm that they were dating. Guthy added an emoji of a blue heart and the words “Happy birthday” to the photo. Cline added the Instagram Story with the words “My love” and a red heart and alien emoji.
Guthy is a singer and songwriter. His mother, Victoria Jackson, started the Victoria Jackson Cosmetics brand. Randy Jackson manages the band North of Nine, where Guthy is the lead singer. Before that, he was a solo singer who opened for Big Time Rush, One Direction, Victoria Justice, Cher Lloyd, Emblem3, and MKTO.
