Nathan Drake is to gamers what Indiana Jones is to movie fans: a brave adventurer who travels the whole world in search of hidden treasures, messes with sinister minions, plunders temples riddled with traps, and always comes up with a brisk line has her lips. In “ Uncharted ” by “Venom” and “Zombieland” director Ruben Fleischer, “Spider-Man” Tom Holland now slips into the role of the gaming icon. Now the first trailer for the video game filming has been released.

In it we see Tom Holland in an action scene that is very clearly inspired by a memorable sequence from the game “Uncharted 3”. Nathan Drake falls from an airplane and has to cling to the cargo that is also falling out in order to survive. The good news: The scene really feels like “Uncharted”. The bad: It doesn’t show much ingenuity that Drake’s most spectacular action moment in “Uncharted 3” is now simply recycled for the film. Youtube Video

The last game in the Uncharted franchise was Uncharted: Lost Legacy in 2017, which focused on Chloe and Uncharted 4 antagonist Nadine Ross. Both it and Uncharted 4 will be released as part of the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection for PlayStation 5 and PC in 2022.

The film adaptation of Uncharted isn’t Sony’s only project in this area. “John Wick” director Chad Stahelski is working on turning the popular game Ghost of Tsushima into a movie. Naughty Dogs The Last of Us is also being turned into a television series by HBO. The shooting of the pilot film has probably already been completed and the first pictures have been published, but fans will have to wait until 2022 for the final product.

Sony has already denied a film adaptation of God of War, but PC gamers will soon be able to plunge into the adventure of Kratos and Atreus too. A PC version has now been officially announced on the official PlayStation Blog. This should appear on January 14, 2022.
