American fantasy police procedural drama television series “Grimm”, released on 28 October 2011. film starring David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Jacqueline Toboni, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee.
This series, which has been produced for NBC in the USA since 2011, was inspired by the world-famous fairy tales by the German Brothers Grimm. However, it is modern adult entertainment that relies on mystery and fantasy elements instead of classic fairytale narrative structures. In the main character of Detective Nick Burkhardt, a descendant of the Brothers Grimm is portrayed who can discover fairy tale creatures camouflaged in other people.
This TV series is also available in Hindi, English, German and Spanish language on Netflix.
Series Begins With
The series Grimm begins with a visit to the hero’s aunt. This is attacked by a strange being, whereby Nick Burkhardt realizes that it is his job to protect his fellow human beings from the dangers of the beings from the fairy tale world. From now on he is no longer just a member of the homicide squad in Portland (Oregon), but also a hunter of paranormal beings.
The main hero interacts with his friends and various police colleagues during the series episodes, but the innovative elements are the mystical beings that appear human, but are a subculture of their own. They have a more instinctual nature than humans, which means that conflict and crime are inevitable. Nick Burkhardt, on the other hand, is a grim and can see through the facade of beings, like many of his relatives. The ideas behind the series Grimm are the same as those of the successful fantasy series Angel – Hunter of Darkness and Buffy – The Vampire Slayer.
